Meet Dr. Delia Dall’Arancio

About Dr. Dall’Arancio

For Dr. Delia Dall’Arancio (Dr. D for short), orthodontics is an art as much as it is a science. A native of Italy, she learned quickly that art and culture are a large part of daily life: it’s a land where aesthetics are woven into the life of all Italians, and a place where art and beauty rule above all.

As an orthodontist, Dr. D considers herself an artist, working with hundreds of patients each year. Aesthetics reflect her passion and her love in creating a beautiful smile — a smile that, most of all, brings out the natural beauty in our patients’ faces. This brings improved confidence, self-esteem, and articulation, and can help prevent periodontal, jaw (TMJ) problems, and obstructive sleep apnea as well.

Dr. D listens carefully to the needs and desires of each patient. Then, her canvas is the human mouth. She is proud of the artistry that she gets to create in smiles every day.

Dr. D has been practicing orthodontics for nearly 30 years. She first practiced in Italy for several years at the University of Bologna’s dental school. Then she attended the University of Minnesota, where she obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery and her Master’s of Science degrees.

To this day, Dr. D continues to learn and broaden our practice, her training, and her experience each year. She specializes in Invisalign® treatments and has led her practice to be a top 1% Diamond Invisalign® Provider. Also, she was nominated as one of Minnesota Monthly’s best orthodontists in 2020.

Dr. D is married to Dr. James Fricton, an TMJ/orofacial pain specialist and Professor Emeritus at the University of Minnesota. They have two children together, Regina and Vincent, who both plan to work in healthcare.

In her free time, Dr. D enjoys cooking, traveling, skiing, hiking, doing yoga, exercising, and being with family and friends. She is also involved in various community service initiatives, including donating her orthodontic skills and time to raise money for different cancer societies, local community centers, and schools. As a sports fan, Dr. D also loves to sponsor children’s sports teams in and around the Twin Cities.
