Meet Dr. Amelia Volkert
Orthodontist in Rosemount, Woodbury, MN
Dr. Amelia Volkert grew up just outside Rosemount, Minnesota on her family farm with her mom and sister. She graduated from Rosemount High School, then went on to St. Olaf College where she earned a B.A. in Chemistry. She then went to Dakota County Technical College to earn an AAS degree in Dental Assisting.
About Dr. Mia
She was a clinical dental assistant at Minnesota Orthodontics, before going on to dental school at the University of Detroit Mercy. She then attended the University of Minnesota for residency where she earned a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry degree. Her favorite part of orthodontics is seeing the transformation in patients both their smiles, and their personalities. She enjoys getting to know the families in her clinics and being part of the local community.
Outside of work, Dr. Mia enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and two dogs-Riley and Ollie. Her hobbies include competitive powerlifting, reading, traveling (Italy has been her favorite so far!) , and spending time outdoors on her farm.
Dr. Volkert loves being part of the amazing team at Minnesota Orthodontics and working with patients to give them a smile they love.
